Escondido

Independence Day Celebration

Friday, July 4


Grape Day Park. Pack a picnic, grab a blanket and head to Grape Day Park for a fun-filled, star-spangled celebration!


Enjoy a variety of free entertainment, including musical performances, magicians, baton twirlers, children’s arts projects, old-fashioned contests and, of course, fireworks.  A variety of refreshments will be available for purchase.


Please note: BBQs, alcohol, pets, and tall chairs should not be brought to the park.


Cruisin’ Grand

Every Friday night through September, 5 - 9 P.M.


Downtown Escondido on Grand Avenue. Join over 400 pre-1974 American-made hot rods, custom, vintage, classic cars and trucks as they begin the six-month Friday night cruise down Grand Ave in Historic Downtown Escondido, just off old historic Hwy. 395 (the Escondido Boulevard business loop). See one of the best gatherings of classic cars in the country, from works-in-progress to priceless, museum-quality vehicles.


2nd Saturday Artwalk

Second Saturday of each month, 5 - 8 P.M.


Downtown Escondido. Galleries, artist studios and museums keep their doors open late and host receptions, wine tastings and live music.

Located in the center of historic downtown, the Farmers Market operates every Tuesday, year-round, on Grand Avenue between Kalmia and Juniper.

Fallbrook Farmers Market

Every Friday, 10 A.M.-2 P.M.


Village Square, Corner of Alvarado & Main. Buy locally grown fruit and vegetables, fresh flowers, and handmade arts and crafts, breads and granola mixes, pasta and dressings, and much more. Farmers in the area grow over 200 different crops, mostly on small family farms. Local favorites include our world-famous avocados, ornamental flowers and plants, citrus fruits, Fuyu persimmons, kiwis, pomegranates, wine grapes, and macadamia nuts.

Fourth of July Fireworks & Fundraising Dinner

Brengle Terrace Park, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive. A fundraising gourmet BBQ, catered by Hennessey’s, will precede the fireworks. Dinner includes: reserved parking adjacent to the amphitheatre; a gourmet barbecue tri-tip/chicken breast dinner with beverages; and premium reserved seating in the Moonlight Amphitheatre for San Diego County’s largest aerial fireworks display scheduled for 9:00 P.M. Dinner is $65 per person or $500 for a table of eight. Dinner seating begins at 5:30 P.M. with service from 6-7:30 P.M.
